The House will vote today on a bill that would bar federal funding for public broadcasting, such as National Public Radio, PBS shows like Sesame Street, NOVA, etc.
I am heavily reliant on news from NPR, PBS nightly news, and wonderful programs for my kids, science, documentaries about American life and history, various other educational programs and so on - all publicly funded and are now "under the knife".
