Fall is coming, and for me, that means adding fat for the winter with baked goods and experimenting with holiday recipe goodies! I don't know what it is, but when the temperature ever so slowly begins dropping, I relish the time to wear my boots and head to my favorite cupcake/cake places such as Let Them Eat Cake in Avondale, Edgewood Bakery in Murray Hill, Sivada's Cupcakery also in Avondale. BUT then I have been hearing about how great cakes are at Three Layers Coffeehouse and wouldn't you know it, at LivingSocial.com, this week had a deal for $10 buys you $20 worth of cake and food there!
So upcoming reviews will include Three Layers Coffeehouse (see their website as they also now have a new outdoors Zen/garden room, a Cellar for wine and drinks, and a new lunch menu) and Pine Grove Deli where I'm dining today with a friend, that everyone I know has said this has the best burger in town. Reaaallllly?? That remains to be seen!
